Works great on long straight hair I've had this thing for 5 months now. My hair is pin-straight w/medium thickness and is about waist-length. What I love most about this gadget is that it allows me to put my hair up into a very secured neat bun WITHOUT the aid of any hairpins or having to first put my hair in a ponytail or use any hairspray. I despise bobby-pins and hate the warped crimp a ponytail leaves when you let your hair down. It can hold my hair up for well over a day. After 24 hours the gadget still held all my hair neatly in place with exception to a few soft wisps (which I really like). And when I take it off, it leaves some really nice soft waves and a ton of volume in my hair. So my hair goes from business professional to party-time within 5 seconds. The only drawback is that it takes quite a bit of practice and getting used to the device slapping in on itself every time it slips through a finger. It took 40+ tries the first day and 4 more days after that for me to finally master the darn thing. It takes time to figure out how far down the length of your hair to start rolling from and whether the gadget's curvature should face up or down. Those 2 aspects will determine how tight or loose the end result will be. June 21, 2013
most dissapointing i have no idea how your to use it even with diagrams April 22, 2013
I luv it These are getting hard to find. I'm glad Claire's still carries them. :) I have long, thin, baby fine hair that is very straight. This is the only way I can create a plausible bun and it will stay nice and firm all day. Yes, the gizmo takes some practice and it can be initially very frustrating, but stick with it. Over time, it becomes a little less snappy and easier to manage. I get a lot of compliments on my sleek bun when I use this. The only other thing that will reliably hold my hair are Flexi-8s and Ficcare clips and those are MUCH more expensive. March 8, 2013
