Terrible For Dark Hair If you have dark hair, I highly suggest that you don't purchase this product for yourself. No matter how hard I rubbed the chalk on my hair, the color barely showed. (I have dark brown hair by the way.) Once I had some streaks of hair colored, I decided to brush my hair so that way it would look smooth. (My hair became a bit tangled after rubbing for so long.) What a bad idea! The color came right off of my hair and went straight onto my brush! The brush was a complete mess and it was almost like I never even wasted all that time coloring my hair! The same thing happened when I tried to comb my hair as well! This product is a terrible waste of money. If you really want to color your hair without dye, I'd definitely try using pastel chalk from the craft store. It's much more vibrant and doesn't take as long to apply. Just make sure the chalk is a little wet,as well as your hair, while you're applying it to your hair. This way, your hair gets those vibrant colors without too much hard work. Then you can seal in the colors a little better if you flat iron or curl your hair with a curling iron. Of course if you rub the parts of your hair that have the chalk on it, it'll come off on your fingers a bit, but just be careful. The chalk is usually more expensive than sidewalk chalk or this *shudders* Claire's hair chalk... but you definitely get what you pay for! April 18, 2014
