California consumers may opt out of the future sale of their personal information by following the instructions we provide below, or by emailing us at [email protected] or calling us at 1-800-CLAIRES.
By opting out of sale of your personal information, certain Claire’s services, programs, or website or mobile app features may no longer be available to you.
OPT OUT OF “SALE” OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ASSOCIATED WITH MY EMAIL ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBERIf you have provided us your email address or phone number (e.g., you have a registered account on claires.com; you have signed up for Claire’s Rewards), you may make your “do not sell” request by submitting the form below, in which case you affirm that you are a California resident and that the information you provide is accurate. You also acknowledge that we may request additional information in order to confirm and verify your identity.
With regard to third-party cookies and tracking technologies, while there is not yet an industry consensus, and although we think otherwise, data practices of third-party cookies and tracking technologies associated with our websites and mobile app may potentially be determined to constitute a “sale” of personal information under the CCPA. Please note that submitting a “do not sell” request associated with the email address or phone number you have provided to Claire’s does not affect these third-party tracking technologies. However, you can exercise control over browser-based cookies by adjusting the settings on your browser, and mobile devices may offer ad limitation choices. In addition, third-party tools (such as the Ghostery browser plug-in available at https://www.ghostery.com/) may enable you to search for, and opt-out of, some of these trackers.
To learn more about your choices regarding certain kinds of online and interest-based advertising click here, or visit this site for information on the DAA’s opt-out program for mobile apps. Some of these companies may also be members of the Network Advertising Initiative; to learn more about the NAI and your opt-out options for their members, click here. We do not represent that these third-party tools, programs, or statements are complete or accurate. Note that clearing cookies or changing browser or device settings may affect your choices when using various sites and services, and you may need to opt out separately via each browser and/or electronic device you use.
Some browsers include signals that may be characterized as “do not track” signals, but we do not understand them to operate in that manner or to indicate a “do not sell” request has been made. Accordingly, at this time we do not recognize a “do not track” signal as a “do not sell” request. We understand that various parties are developing common “do not sell” signals, and we may recognize certain such signals if we conclude a given program is appropriate.
Please note that if you limit or block cookies or tracking technologies on your browser or device and then subsequently reset your preferences (e.g., by clearing your cookie settings or resetting your mobile advertising ID), our online services and third-party tools may not recognize your previous preferences that limited or blocked cookies or tracking technologies.
