What inspired the color palette from the first T H E M E x Claire’s collection?

I live in the West Village of New York City. There is a lot of amazing inspo in the city. From big city lights to street art, small galleries, vintage jewelry shops, flea markets, and visits to the Whitney (my favorite art museum), the city is filled with color!

Tips for stacking and layering pieces from this collection?

I love stacking bracelets and necklaces. More is more with stacks as you can make them dressed up or casual. I usually mix and match metals with beads and fun colors. You can use the pieces in the collection to define your look.

I also love mixing in fun hair ties to my stack. They are always good to have and especially look good when they are cute—like the ones in this collection!

What made you want to become a designer?

I started sewing when I was 6 and I had so much fun creating pieces that were unique to my own style. Whenever I wore my pieces, I would feel so confident and I wanted other people to feel that way too. So I was inspired to start my own brand and make pieces for girls to feel their best and style them however they want.

The best part about doing THEME at my age is that I am a part of the audience I am designing for. So I design pieces to make girls feel confident, comfortable, and cool.
