C.CLUB Terms and Conditions

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“TERMS”) CAREFULLY. BY ACCESSING OR PARTICIPATING IN THE C.CLUB PROGRAM, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT ACCESS OR PARTICIPATE IN THE C.CLUB PROGRAM.

Claire’s Accessories UK Limited is a private company registered in England and Wales under company number 3115118, with its registered office at Unit 4 Bromford Gate, Bromford Lane, Birmingham, B24 8DL and VAT number 927124727 (“Claire’s”, “us”, “we” or “our”). Claire’s operates https://www.claires.com/rewards/cclub  (the “Rewards Site”).

  1. 1. Understanding these Terms 
    1. 1.1 These Terms apply to your access to, and participation in, the C.CLUB program in the United Kingdom and Ireland (“C.CLUB”), which is operated by Claire’s.  

    2. 1.2 When certain words and phrases are used in these Terms, they have specific meanings (these are known as "defined terms"). You can identify these defined terms because they start with capital letters (even if they are not at the start of a sentence). Where a defined term is used, it has the meaning given to it in the section of these Terms where it was defined (you can find these meanings by looking at the sentence where the defined term is included in brackets and speech marks).

    3. 1.3 In these Terms, when we refer to “you” or “your” we mean you, the person registering to participate, or participating in, C.CLUB. 

    4. 1.4 These Terms tell you who we are, how we will provide C.CLUB, how we may change these Terms, how each of us may end the agreement between you and us, what to do if there is a problem and other important information. Terms and conditions you provide have no legal effect and do not form part of these Terms. 

    5. 1.5 Please note that we only use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice https://www.claires.com/privacy-policy.html.

    6. 1.6 You should review these Terms, related policies, and FAQs https://www.claires.com/rewards/faq/ related to C.CLUB to fully understand the terms and conditions that apply to your access to and participation in this program. 
  2. 2. Joining C.CLUB & Eligibility
    1. 2.1 In the United Kingdom, C.CLUB is open to those who are 13 years of age or older and in Ireland, to those who are 16 years of age or older. A valid email address is required to create a C.CLUB Account (“Rewards Account”). A Rewards Account is required to be eligible for C.CLUB. There is a limit of one Rewards Account per person in each jurisdiction where we operate C.CLUB. No purchase or fee is required to sign up for a Rewards Account or enrol in the C.CLUB program.

    2. 2.2 C.CLUB is a customer rewards program that allows members to earn and accumulate points (“Points”) that can be redeemed for coupons (“Reward Coupons”). Reward Coupons and other offers associated with C.CLUB may be governed by additional terms, such as specific expiration dates, purchase limitations, item restrictions, redemption locations, or legal disclosures (“Additional Terms”). Please review any applicable Additional Terms. 

    3. 2.3 You may create a Rewards Account to join C.CLUB by: 
      1. a) visiting   the Rewards Site and following the prompts to create a Rewards Account;

      2. b) visiting any Claire’s retail store in your country of residence and asking a store associate to help you sign up; or 

      3. c) any other methods offered by Claire’s.

    4. 2.4 If you believe a Rewards Account may have been created in error, please contact Customer Service at [email protected] or +44 (0) 345 603 6088 to review your options. Claire’s may, in its reasonable discretion, allow individuals to combine or consolidate existing Rewards Accounts, subject to and in accordance with these Terms.

    5. 2.5 We have the right to disable any Rewards Accounts and/or passwords, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Terms.

    6. 2.6 If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your Account login details, you must immediately notify us at [email protected] or +44 (0) 345 603 6088.

    7. 2.7 You are responsible for any unauthorised use of your Account login details.

    8. 2.8 By creating and maintaining a Rewards Account, you are eligible to receive: 
      1. (a) A one-time 20% discount to your next purchase following enrolment in C.CLUB. This benefit is valid at www.claires.com and retail stores operated by Claire’s in your country of residence only, and may not be applied to purchases of Claire’s merchandise made at any other retailer. The discount will not be applied to taxes, shipping and handling, charity donations, prior purchases, or charges for plastic shopping bags. Other product exclusions may apply . This benefit will be valid for a period of 14 days from when we send you the discount code. Please note that, once redeemed, the discount cannot be reapplied to any future purchases.

      2. (b) When you sign up for C.CLUB, you will automatically enter into Level 1 (Friend). As a Friend, you will receive (i) 50 Points for every purchase made with your Rewards Account, (ii) free shipping on any online purchase totaling £/€20.00 or more before applicable taxes and fees, and (iii) a £/€5 OFF birthday surprise, if you provide a date of birth. Shipping discounts will apply automatically at checkout when you are logged into your C.CLUB Rewards Account. 

      3. (c) Customers can qualify for Level 2 (Bestie) by spending £100.00 or more within a given calendar year. Level 2 benefits include, but are not limited to:

        • Earn 25 bonus points per purchase, in addition to the base 50 points earned per purchase (limit one per day);Free gift when you qualify; Free shipping on any online purchase (no minimum spend); £/€10 OFF birthday surprise. You will receive an email detailing the offer, which is subject to Additional Terms.; and Double the Anytime Rewards. 

      4. (d) Annual “Anytime Rewards” are in accordance with each customer’s Level. Anytime Rewards may be activated by logging into your online profile and choosing to activate your rewards. Once activated, bonus points will be automatically issued to your C.CLUB account and will convert to Reward Coupons within 5 days. Once received, Anytime Rewards function the same as standard Reward Coupons. Level 1 Members may activate one £5.00 Anytime Reward per calendar year. Level 2 Members may activate two £5.00 Anytime Rewards per calendar year.

      5. (e) Once Level 2 is achieved, the status is secured for the remainder of the qualifying calendar year plus one additional calendar year. In year two, you must spend £/€100.00 or more to re-qualify for year 3.

        • Rewards coupons and redemptions of a gift card will not count towards your annual net spend amount.
        • Purchases not linked to your Rewards Account will not count towards your annual net spend.Net spend is calculated after discounts are deducted or coupons are applied to the purchase price

      6. (f) Exclusive promotional offers, as determined in Claire’s sole discretion from time-to-time and subject to Additional Terms.

      7. (g) Advance notice of product launches and special events.

      8. (h) Invitations to participate in special Points events, subject to Additional terms.
  1. 3. Earning Points
    1. 3.1 3.1 When you join C.CLUB, you will automatically enter into Level 1 (Friend). As a Friend, you will receive (i) 50 Points for every purchase made with your Rewards Account, (ii) free shipping on any online purchase totaling £/€20.00 or more before applicable taxes and fees, and (iii) a £/€5 OFF birthday surprise. Shipping discounts will apply automatically at checkout when you are logged into your C.CLUB Rewards Account. 

    2. 3.2 Level 2 (Bestie) Customers will receive 75 points per purchase (50 base points and 25 bonus points).

    3. 3.3 For either Level (Friend or Bestie), customers are eligible to earn 100 points per purchase for any purchase that totals £100.00 or more before applicable taxes and fees.

    4. 3.4 Customers may earn points on only one purchase per day. As such, if you complete multiple purchases in one day, you earn points on the purchase that would provide you with the most points that day. Associates of Claire’s are limited to earning points on one purchase per week.

    5. 3.5 Points may be earned when you: 
      1. (a) make a qualifying purchase (as further detailed in clause 3.6) at a retail store operated by Claire’s in your country of residence (a “Qualifying Store”) or make a qualifying purchase on www.claires.com (each a “Qualifying Purchase”); or 

      2. (b) participate in other opportunities offered by Claire’s (“Additional Qualifying Activities”), collectively, “Qualifying Activities”.

    6. 3.6 Purchase net spend must total a minimum of £/€0.01 of non-excluded items in order to earn points on the purchase. Purchases that do not require a form of payment will not accrue points.
      1. (a) Purchases that do not require a form of payment will not accrue points.

      2. (b) Points may be accrued for purchases using gift cards as the tender type.

      3. (c) Net spend is calculated after discounts are deducted or coupons are applied to the purchase price.

      4. (d) Excluded items include for processing charges, delivery surcharges, shipping and handling, taxes, state and any other applicable governmental fees, donations, purchases of gift cards, and charges for shopping bags. Other items may be excluded as indicated by Additional Terms, such as in the description of the item online or in-store, and certain items subject to promotions with Additional Terms.  

    7. 3.7 Examples of Additional Qualifying Activities include, but are not limited to: visiting Claire's social medial profiles (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok), sharing your birthday, or sharing your mailing address. These one-time rewards of a certain number of Points per person cannot be earned more than once for each Rewards Account and cannot be applied to more than one Rewards Account. Additional Terms may apply to Additional Qualifying Activities.  

    8. 3.8 Points will be awarded once you make a Qualifying Purchase or participate in Qualifying Activities.

    9. 3.9 Points cannot be accrued for purchases made before enrolment in C.CLUB.

    10. 3.10 To earn Points for a Qualifying Purchase at a Claire’s retail store or Claire’s in-store boutiques at participating third-party merchant locations, you must provide the store associate with your email address (or mobile phone number, if provided during the enrolment process) when prompted during the sales transaction. 

    11. 3.11 To earn Points for a Qualifying Purchase on www.claires.com, you must log into your www.claires.com account, which is connected to your Rewards Account, before making a purchase. 

    12. 3.12 Points are calculated after discounts are deducted from, or coupons are applied to, the purchase price. 

    13. 3.13 You cannot earn Points for any unauthorized or fraudulent charges.  Claire’s reserves the right to investigate any charges that could be unauthorised or fraudulent, and remove Points earned from any unauthorized or fraudulent charges from your Rewards Account.

    14. 3.14 Points for purchases made through www.claires.com qualify once all items have been accounted for in the inventory for in-store purchases or shipped for online purchases and will be automatically added to your Rewards Account within approximately 36 hours of shipment. Points for purchases of items in the same transaction that are shipped separately will be added to your Rewards Account once the final item has shipped. For in-store purchases and Additional Qualifying Activities, Points will appear in your Rewards Account within approximately 36 hours of your completion of the Qualifying Activity. 

    15. 3.15 You may view your Points and activity: (i) in the Rewards Account status emails we send to you; (ii) by logging into your Rewards Account at  https://www.claires.com/login/?lang=en_GB#signIn or (iii) by contacting Customer Service at [email protected] or +44 (0) 345 603 6088. 
  2. 4. Value of Points 
    1. 4.1 The value of Reward Coupons is calculated in Pound Sterling for residents of the UK, or in Euro for residents of the Republic of Ireland.

    2. 4.2 For every 100 Points you earn, you will receive a £5.00 (or €5.00) Reward Coupon which will be issued five (5) days after you have earned the 100 Points. 

    3. 4.3 The value of Points earned may change from time to time. We will notify you in if there will be a change in the value of Points earned in accordance with these Terms. 
  3. 5. Reward Coupons
    1. 5.1 Once you accumulate the required number of Points to earn a Reward Coupon, those Points will be deducted from your Rewards Account and converted to a Reward Coupon. Reward Coupon(s) will be issued to your Rewards Account five (5) days after you have on accumulated 100 Points in your Rewards Account, and will be sent to the email address associated with your Rewards Account.   A maximum of five (5) Reward Coupons may be issued per day per C.CLUB member.

    2. 5.2 Issued Reward Coupons can be accessed: (i) by logging into the Rewards Site and viewing your C.CLUB profile; (ii) by identifying yourself as a C.CLUB member by providing the email (or mobile phone number, if provided during the enrolment process) associated with your Rewards Account in-store; or (iii) by contacting Customer Service at [email protected] or +44 (0) 345 603 6088. 

    3. 5.3 Reward Coupons will be issued in £5.00 (or €5.00) increments with unique promo codes that can be used in-store or online (“Reward Coupon Code”). Each Reward Coupon Code may be used only once. Points will be converted to Reward Coupons in the order that the Points were earned. 
  4. 6. Point Expiration and Reward Coupon Expiration
    1. 6.1 Points accrued in your Rewards Account will expire 12 months from the date of the Qualifying Activity. 

    2. 6.2 Each Reward Coupon will expire 90 days after it is issued.
  5. 7. Reward Coupon Redemption
    1. 7.1 You may only use Reward Coupons that are associated with your own active Rewards Account. 

    2. 7.2 Unexpired Reward Coupons may be redeemed when making purchases of Claire’s merchandise at any Claire’s retail store or Claire’s in-store boutiques at participating third-party merchant locations in the UK or Republic of Ireland or by entering the Reward Coupon Code when making a purchase on www.claires.com.

    3. 7.3 Reward Coupons may not be redeemed for purchases of Claire’s merchandise made at any other third-party merchants that carry Claire’s products. 

    4. 7.4 Reward Coupons cannot be applied to: (i) previous purchases; (ii) charity donations; (iii) purchase of a gift card or redemption of a gift card; (iv) processing charges; (v) delivery surcharges; (vi) shipping and handling; (vii) charges for plastic shopping bags; or (viii) state and any other applicable governmental fees. 

    5. 7.5 The value of Reward Coupons is calculated in Pound Sterling (or Euros). 

    6. 7.6 Multiple Reward Coupons may be redeemed when making a purchase at a Claire’s retail store in your country of residence or on www.claires.com.  A minimum merchandise purchase of £5.01 (or €5.01) (excluding taxes and shipping charges) is required in order to redeem your Reward Coupons on www.claires.com.

    7.  7.7 If the total amount of a purchase you make using a Reward Coupon is less than the amount of the Reward Coupon, you will forfeit the balance of the Reward Coupon.  For example, if you use a £5.00 (or €5.00) Reward Coupon to make a £4.50 (or €4.50) purchase, you will not be given £.50 (or €0.50) in change, nor will Points be credited back to your Rewards Account.

    8. 7.8 When using a Reward Coupon, you are responsible for all charges in excess of the value of the Reward Coupon. Claire’s store associates may reject the use of any Reward Coupons that may violate these Terms or otherwise be fraudulent.

    9. 7.9 The Reward Coupon will be applied after all other promotional credits or discounts offered at the time of purchase are applied to your purchase.

    10. 7.10 To use a Reward Coupon when making a purchase in one of our retail stores in your country of residence you must identify yourself as a C.CLUB member by providing the email address (or mobile phone number, if provided during the enrolment process) associated with your Rewards Account at checkout. Claire’s reserves the right to require the person using a Reward Coupon to show proof that they are the person associated with the corresponding Rewards Account.

    11. 7.11 To use a Reward Coupon when making a purchase on www.claires.com, you must log into your online account associated with your Rewards Account and select the applicable Reward Coupon to be applied to your cart. Claire’s reserves the right to require the person using a Reward Coupon to validate that they are the person associated with the corresponding Rewards Account.

    12. 7.12 You are solely responsible for all local taxes and any other costs or expenses of accepting and using Reward Coupons or other promotional credits or discounts offered at the time of purchase.

    13. 7.13 You shall not give, sell, or otherwise provide Reward Coupon Codes, Reward Coupons, or Points to any other person. You shall not copy, imitate, or otherwise fabricate Reward Coupon Codes, Reward Coupons, or Points, nor shall you give, sell, or otherwise provide such copies, imitations, or fabrications to any other person. 
  6. 8. Returns
    1. 8.1 If you return the full value of a purchase for which you earned Points (in accordance with Claire’s then- current return policy), the Points associated with your Rewards Account will be reduced by the number of Points equivalent to the amount of the earned Points you originally received. Level 2 status will not be removed if you make a return after moving to level 2, dropping your annual net spend below £/€100.  In the event of an exchange, any Points earned in association with the original purchase will remain in your Rewards Account.  Any new promotional offers in effect at the time of an exchange will not apply, nor modify your Rewards Account balance.

    2. 8.2 If you return an item purchased using a Reward Coupon, the refund will exclude the Reward Coupon amount.
  7. 9. Points, Reward Coupons, and Rewards Accounts Are Non-Transferable and Not Redeemable for Cash
    1. 9.1 Except where required by applicable law, Rewards Accounts, Points, Reward Coupons, and other Claire’s Benefits: (i) do not have any monetary or cash value; (ii) may not be redeemed for cash; and (iii) do not have any cash equivalent except when being used to make purchases of Claire’s merchandise subject to these Terms. 
    2. 9.2 Rewards Accounts, Points, and Reward Coupons are not transferable to any other person.
  8. 10. Termination or Closure of Your Rewards Account
    1. 10.1 Claire’s is not responsible for Points or Reward Coupons that expire, are lost by you, or are redeemed due to fraudulent activity. Suspected illegal, fraudulent, or other unauthorized use or misuse of Points, Reward Coupons, or any other activity inconsistent with these Terms may, in Claire’s reasonable discretion, result in termination or revocation of your participation in C.CLUB. Such termination will result in the loss of all accumulated Points earned and Reward Coupons issued but not yet redeemed. 

    2. 10.2 You may elect to close your Rewards Account at any time through your account settings in your C.CLUB on claires.com, by calling Claire’s at +44 (0) 345 603 6088 or emailing Claire’s at [email protected]. Upon any closure or termination of your Rewards Account, any Points associated with your Rewards Account will automatically drop to zero. If you later elect to re-enrol in C.CLUB, you will have access to any unexpired Reward Coupons associated with your terminated Rewards Account, however, your beginning Points balance will be zero (with the exception of any welcome Points added to your new Rewards Account, if applicable).
  9. 11. Updating Your Rewards Account
    1. 11.1 You may access and update your Rewards Account information, including your email address (except if you are an employee) by: (i) logging into your online account on www.claires.com; (ii) at any Claire’s retail store or Claire’s in-store boutiques at participating third-party merchant locations in your country of residence; (iii) by emailing our Customer Service Team at [email protected]; or (iv) by calling us at +44 (0) 345 603 6088. 

    2. 11.2 It is your responsibility to keep your member information current, complete, and accurate. 

    3. 11.3 You are solely responsible for any and all activities that occur under your Rewards Account. 

    4. 11.4 C.CLUB members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for restricting access to their computer or mobile device that may result in unauthorized or fraudulent activity on their Rewards Account. 
  10. 12. Modification of C.CLUB 
    1. 12.1 Claire’s reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate, or otherwise change any aspect of C.CLUB, these Terms, and Additional Terms, including without limitation: (i) the eligibility conditions for participation in C.CLUB; (ii) the manner in which you participate; (iii) the manner and rates at which Points and Reward Coupons are earned and redeemed; (iv) redemption mechanisms; or (v) what constitutes a Qualifying Activity. We will, where possible, provide you with at least 10 days' advance notice (sent to you by email to the email address then associated with your Rewards Account) of any such changes but the notice we provide may be shorter if there is a change in the law or there are security reasons which mean that we need to make such changes.
  11. 13. Limitation of Liability
    1. 13.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
      1. (a) death or personal injury caused by our actions, omissions or negligence;

      2. (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; and

      3. (c) any matter in respect of which it would be unlawful for us to exclude or restrict our liability.
    2. 13.2 If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for direct loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our negligence, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is: (i) not foreseeable; or (ii) arises as a result of your breach of these Terms. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence of our breach or if it was contemplated by you and us at the time we entered into these Terms. 

    3. 13.3 Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights in relation to your rights as a Consumer. Advice about your statutory rights is available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office in the UK, your local Citizens Information centre or the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) in Ireland or elsewhere from your equivalent local consumer protection authorities.
  12. 14. General Information
    1. 14.1 C.CLUB is enforceable as permitted by applicable law.   If any part of these Terms or Additional Terms is invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision, and the remainder of these Terms and Additional Terms will govern such participation. 

    2. 14.2 Our performance under these Terms and Additional Terms will be excused to the extent that such performance is hindered, delayed or made commercially impractical by causes beyond our reasonable control.

    3. 14.3 If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these Terms, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you and will not mean that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive a default by you, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you.

    4. 14.4 If you are resident in the European Union and wish to have more information on online dispute resolution, please follow this link to the website of the European Commission: http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. This link is provided as required by Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council, for information purposes only.   We are not obliged to participate in online dispute resolution.
  13. 15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
    1. 15.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.  This means that your participation the C.CLUB program, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection therewith (including non-contractual disputes or claims), will be governed by English law.  

    2. 15.2 You can bring proceedings in respect of these Terms in the English courts.  If you are a consumer, you may bring any dispute which may arise under these Terms to - at your discretion - either the competent court of England, or to the competent court of your country of habitual residence if this country of habitual residence is within the UK or is an EU Member State, which courts are - with the exclusion of any other court - competent to settle any of such a dispute. We shall bring any dispute which may arise under these Terms to the competent court of your country of habitual residence if this is within the UK or is an EU Member State, or otherwise the competent court of England. 

    3. 15.3 If you are a consumer who is resident in the European Union and we direct the C.CLUB program to (and/or pursue our commercial or professional activities in relation to the C.CLUB program in) the EU Member State in which you are resident, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident.  Nothing in these Terms, including clause 15.1, affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory provisions of local law.
